Below is a letter from Tpain, I thought everybody should read. Unedited. I know Tpain personally and he is a phenomenal artist, and a fun loving person, every time we've been in the studio, he has treated everybody with respect and as long lost friends. The very first time I met him, he let me tag along with him to the club where he treated everybody that was with him like family, making sure we were having a good time, Nappy Boy truly is a family. He also has the biggest sense of humor! He is a big kid at heart, imagine playing Guitar Hero with him, how cool is that? I've had incredible experiences of watching him work and create the records we all love. He truly is talented, you have no idea.
I am fascinated by creative artist like him, i've dealt with all kinds of artist at all levels of stature, and quite frankly personally my experiences with Pain have been some of the best in dealing with talent at his level. He is just an all around cool dude, if anybody who felt negatively about him, or perceived him to be a certain way, if only you could spend a day with him you would see he is not like that at all! He is not what you THINK he is like, remember all you know is what you hear or what you see in a short video, or how his persona comes across in his records, but he is a very good person, and I know from first hand knowledge and experience.
In the past he has been unfiltered and given it to you raw, perhaps letting his emotions or anger get in the way, but when somebody can point out their past mistakes it takes a big person to do that artist or not. I commend him for taking this new stance and doing it in a very public manner.

NAPPPPYYYYYYY BOOOYYYYYYYY!!!!
LETTER FROM T.PAIN, below unedited:
________________________________________________________
I've been doing a whole lot of thinking lately, and I have finally realized a whole lot of things
I've realized that how I expect ppl to think of me is not how I portray myself. I look at life very negatively all the time and I know now that will only embrace more negativity. But now that I have a new perspective on life, I vow to be positive at all times, even about the negative things that come my way. I can't control how ppl think, and I have to get it out of my head that I can.
To my fans, old and new, young and mature, I promise to give you the realest, most honest, hardest working, most focused T-Pain you've ever witnessed. I've said and done a lot of dumb shit over the past few months that shouldn't have been said or done. I know it takes time to grow up and I'm sorry it took me 27 years to do so. Zing, Dom, and all the true TPainiacs deserve a lot better than what I've been doing lately. Thank you guys for sticking with me for this long through all of the crap and bullshit I've been saying and doing. My fans are a blessing to me and I don't think I let you guys know that enough. The way you guys stick up for me and support everything I do is something I've never had in my life, and words or pictures or anything can't express how that makes me feel everyday when I'm working and every night when I'm staring at the ceiling trying to go to sleep without a negative mind. Thank you to all my fans. Real shit.
To my record label, old and new, employees and employers, the way I have been speaking to you guys is completely stupid and un-called for. You guys have done nothing wrong and I now realize that I just needed someone to blame for MY fuck ups. I apologize and have no excuse for what I've done in this short time of you workin on my project. Thank you for even trying to understand me and taking time out of you life to help me succeed and feed my family. Without the work you do, staying at work and traveling away from your families and loved ones, there would be no T-pain. I can't thank you enough for what you do and the hard work you put in. I hope I can one day sit down and show you guys how ready I am to take this game over and I know for a fact without your help I can't and I won't. There's nothing I can say to make you believe me but I can tell you that you will see a change in my actions and actions speak louder than words.
To the radio. PDs, DJs, MDs, everybody. Especially the ppl that came to my house to listen to my album a few weeks ago. I've been hearing the talk and the way I'm being perceived amongst the ppl in the industry and the radio world. I can't do anything but agree with everything you guys feel. Honestly at first I was like "well fuck it then" but all I had to do was look at it from your point of view and I now totally understand how you guys feel. I don't even think an apology should be excepted for what I did that night. Sometimes I bottle up my feelings and everything always seem to come out at the wrong time, and I can honestly say that was the worst time for any of those words to come out. I understand that you guys do NOT work FOR me, you guys work WITH me. Radio and artistry go hand in hand in this industry and I don't know how anyone would have ever known about T-Pain if the radio world didn't exist. Thank you for the years of prosperity and I'm sorry for the years of blind negativity
Lately, every dream I've been having has been taking place in the house I grew up in. It's been happening so much that I actually called a psychic about it. And she told me that my dreams are just telling me to not forget where I came from and how I got to where I am. Just that one sentence opened my eyes wider than they have been in a very long time.
I know it's a shame that I have more self pity than I have self respect and most times I just drown that pity in alcohol and of course that only causes more problems. For example, I had a show with wisin y yandel last night in front of 35,000 ppl, and before the show I just kept drinking and drinking, and to be honest, I don't even remember being on stage, but apparently I did a horrible job, I was falling and not singing, forgetting words to my own songs, smh. Some ppl are ok with that but that's not how I wanna live my life. And since everything happens for a reason and god is good all the time, he gave me a second chance to redeem myself tonight and hit the stage with WY again. I went out there completely sober and aware and ready for anything, did a great fucking job and rocked the stage, And I can tell how much of a different perspective ppl backstage had of me. And for the first time in a long time I was really proud of myself
I want everyone that's reading this to know, this isn't something my management or anybody told me to do. I'm literally in puerto Rico in my hotel room takin a shit (I figured I'd be real) and I just thought I'd let everybody know what's been on my mind for a long time now.
So in conclusion, to my Fans, My label and everybody at radio.
I think we got of to a bad start the last 7 years
So how about this?
Hi, my name is T-Pain, it's very nice to meet you. Let's get to work.
